Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it......

The book of Proverbs has so much wisdom and for me I wish I had at such a young age. There is so much to learn and teach our children. Coming to know the Lord later in life did affect the way I did parenting, specially when I had to do it alone.

I became pregnant at 18, and at such a young age I could barely take care of myself, much less then having a child made things harder. I was raised Catholic so I baptized my boys Catholic and took them to church sparsely. I didn't have a relationship with the Lord and I made tons of mistakes. I never thought this would affect my children but it did. Not having a solid faith made me waiver and be unsteady and emotional wreck. My boys grew up watching me struggle like crazy. And I think back "What if I would have a solid faith?" I think we all think about this, we think "What if"..but at the end of the day, as I walk with the Lord I know my boys are sons of the most High God, who calls me his.

Because I hold on to his promises I know my boys will be faithful and be on the right path. I declare before my children and grandchildren.

“As for Me and My House, We Will Serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15

I am thankful for all my experiences in life, but what I'm most thankful for is learning to love the Lord and teach my children the Love he has for us. Everyday I pray for my children and declare blessings over them. I teach my little to pray so when he goes with his father. Jacob and I pray at night for our families and our circumstances. I teach my little how to stand up to those ugly demons that scare him at night. I direct my child/ren into the right path with the Lord.

I leave you with a prayer that you and your children be lead and directed into the right path...

"Dear father thank you for today, thank you for what you are doing in our lives. Thank you because we are safe. I lift up my family and children may they all walk in your ways. I declare a mighty blessing over their lives. And whatever struggles they are going through help them Lord to be strong like you. Lord I praise you in Jesus name because we stand strong in your presence and that No weapon formed against us prosper. Thank you in Jesus mighty name"

May you be blessed as you read today's blog,

Angie Castillo
